Your mission
As a Project Manager Electrical Systems, you will be responsible for:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for electrical systems projects.
- Comparing and clarifying the technical specifications of orders with the project team.
- Preparation of detailed project schedules and monitoring of project expenditure.
- Carry out site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimum system configurations.
- Liaising with the Technical Planning team to ensure projects meet client requirements.
- Coordinate with Design & Engineering, Procurement, and Crew teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Lead the project kickoff meetings and establish clear roles and responsibilities for all team members.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project goals.
Technical Oversight:
- Review and approve electrical system designs, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams regarding project status, changes, and issues.
- Conduct regular project status meetings with stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and address any concerns.
- Manage change requests and negotiate contract terms when necessary.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, suppliers and contractors to secure required resources and services.
- Preparing and presenting project reports, presentations and documentation to clients and management.
Budget & Cost Control:
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring costs are kept within approved limits.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize project financial performance.
- Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to senior management on project budget status.
Quality & Safety Assurance:
- Ensure that all electrical systems are installed and commissioned according to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Implement quality control processes and conduct inspections to verify the integrity of electrical systems.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Ensure that all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations and environmental requirements.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including design plans, contracts, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure that all project documentation is properly archived for future reference.
