This role goes beyond project leadership - it’s about strategically shaping our global presence with a primary focus on the Middle East, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing directly to the long-term growth targets of the Event Production unit.
Working closely with the Director of Event Production BU and the wider leadership team, the Project Director will translate the business plans into actionable initiatives, ensure targets are met, maintain and expand client relationships, and strengthen our competitive position in the market.
The role also requires close collaboration with other Project Directors across the organisation to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and collective progress toward shared goals.
This position reflects our new structure of appointing Project Directors with defined focus areas (e.g., KSA, UAE, Special Projects Global), ensuring scalability and dedicated leadership as our business continues to expand.
Leadership & Strategic Oversight
- Provide vision, direction, and leadership for project management team.
- Align with the Director of Event Production to deliver on the agreed business plan, targets, and growth strategy.
- Establish clear objectives, OKRs, and performance standards for the Event Production project portfolio.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other Project Directors to ensure alignment of strategies, processes, and delivery standards across all focus areas.
- Drive efficiency, best practices, and continuous improvement in project delivery.
- Mentor, motivate, and support project managers, building a scalable structure that fosters accountability and innovation.
Project Execution & Delivery
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability.
- Serve as the senior client-facing representative, ensuring trust and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define and oversee project structures, including scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
- Ensure disciplined financial and operational management across projects.
- Guarantee compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in close collaboration with QHSE.
Standardisation & Best Practices
- Implement and refine standardised workflows for projects while aligning with global unit standards.
- Apply project management methodologies, documentation, and approval processes that reduce risk and increase efficiency.
- Contribute to structured knowledge-sharing between all focus areas (KSA, UAE, Special Projects, etc.)
Client Liaison & Stakeholder Management
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with existing clients.
- Work closely with the Business Development to identify, approach, and secure new client relationships.
- Act as a senior representative to clients, ensuring clarity of scope, expectations, and outcomes.
- Capture client feedback and integrate it into project delivery and future business planning.
- Nurture partnerships with subcontractors, suppliers, and freelancers to ensure reliable and high-quality delivery.
Financial & Commercial Oversight
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and margin protection across projects.
- Support the Director of Event Production in financial disciplines, risk management, and profitability strategies.
- Drive commercial success by balancing operational efficiency with exceptional client delivery.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay ahead of regional market trends, event production innovations, and project management best practices.
- Translate lessons learned into better processes and future planning for upcoming projects.
- Collaborate across units, regions, and with other Project Directors to ensure creative, technical, and operational excellence.
