Working closely with Project Management, Finance and other internal stakeholders, you will contribute to disciplined project execution and support the continuous development of our project controlling structures and processes.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the financial monitoring and commercial controlling of assigned projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Prepare, maintain and regularly update project budgets, cost plans, forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Monitor actual and committed costs against approved budgets and provide clear visibility of project performance.
- Analyse financial deviations, identify underlying causes and work with the relevant project stakeholders to define appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare regular project reports, financial evaluations and management updates that support transparent and timely decision-making.
- Partner closely with Project Managers and project teams, providing guidance on budget management, cost development, profitability and financial risks.
- Support project planning by reviewing assumptions, resource requirements, purchasing needs and expected project costs.
- Monitor project revenue, invoicing schedules, payment milestones and outstanding commercial matters in coordination with Finance and the responsible project teams.
- Review purchase orders, supplier commitments, variations and other project-related financial documentation to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
- Support project closing activities, including final cost reviews, reconciliation of project accounts and evaluation of overall project performance.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly and year-end closing activities by providing accurate project data, accruals, provisions and supporting documentation.
- Identify financial and commercial risks at an early stage and communicate these clearly to the relevant stakeholders.
- Help improve project controlling processes, reporting standards, templates and tools to create greater consistency and efficiency across the organisation.
- Maintain accurate and complete controlling documentation and ensure that financial information is prepared in line with internal requirements.
